If you missed our email:

Dear Customer,

For the first time in over 2 years we have decided to send all our customers an email! We at gamegiants felt that the announcement was important enough to justify notifying all of you.

Due to intense pricing pressure we will be raising our prices on our most popular Arctic Silver products early next month. This includes Arctic Silver 3.5g and Arcticlean. The current sale prices will also be discontinued at that time.

We are urging our customers to stock up prior to the price increase. We will guarantee the current prices only until 3/31/08.

During this time period we will also raise the limit on the Arctic Silver products from 5 of each item per order to 15 pieces per order. This is on all Arctic Silver Products including the larger Arctic Silver 12g tubes.

Best Regards,

The Birth of the Greatest Video Game Review Site on the Internet

They ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win!

We mentioned Jeff Gerstmann and Ryan Davis had a new gaming blog/site before. But you gotta just love watching the guys plan the new site and setup their new office. How refreshing it is to see these guys go through the day to day task of setting up what will be The Killer gaming review site.

You see that they are Gamers just like you and I. They eat like you do, drink like you do, Game like you do. They don’t wear suits and they don’t worry about shareholders, advertisers, or censors. They even do stupid ass things like getting free couches from hippies on Craigslist which turnout to be flea infested.

I would much rather watch Jeff test out his new flea infested couch than watch a podcast where “We talk to Denis Dyack of Silicon Knights about his physical education degree”. WTF That is the headline on Gamespot today? Yes this is the best Gamespot can do now!

The one thing that CNET never understood is that what made Gamespot was the talent and now the talent is gone. Jeff and Ryan and their Gang are free to be as creative as they can on their own, free to try new things and build as they like. I will bet money that each and every original successful idea that they produce will be copied (badly) by Gamespot and the other MSReview sites.

Most of us are sick to death of what Multinational Corporations have done to gaming. Dudes by definition games are meant to be entertaining not Advertising Platforms and Reviews are to be just that. Honest, Friendly and Real Just like Ryan and Jeff.

In any event sit back and watch Jeff and Ryan Build!

Rule Number One When Buying a Gaming Machine.

Posted by admin on March 10, 2008 under Game Giants | View Comments

Never Ever Buy a Machine with Integrated Video. Period.

If the machine does not come with a decent, recent dedicated video card skip it. EverĀ  wonder why laptops, in general, suck for games? Besides under powered CPUs it is the lame integrated video. This goes for motherboards also. For a gaming rig you are better off without onboard video. Buy a motherboard without it and purchase a dedicated graphic card. The new nvidia 9600s are great cards running around $200. It is money well spent. Avoid the urge to buy that “bargain” PC at the office store or big box. It may look great on paper…. But as soon as you see the words “Integrated Video” “Shared Memory” “Onboard Video” You know it is not meant for gaming!
