Rovio has put up a great version of Angry Birds up on the web. You do need either Firefox 4 or Chrome to play it.

At first glance the original Bloons! did not look like it could become one of the most popular free Flash games ever made. When you launched the first level you were presented with a poorly rendered monkey with a dart, some moving clouds and a couple dozen or so colored balloons.  At the bottom of the game screen a simple status board appeared with a simple phrase in a hand written font “Pop Me”.  If you were one of the billions of players who looked past the poor art, below average sound and clunky animation and followed those directions you experienced some of the most addicting and rewarding puzzle solving game play ever devised.

Bloons 2 takes the basic elements of the original Bloons! and adds a lot of polish. The graphics maintain the original flavor but add a bit of scenery and backgrounds to the plethora of levels. The dart throwing monkey has been redrawn, and well looks a little bit more like a monkey! The status bar has been updated and redesigned in a more professional manner. Game options have been expanded with the ability to view a limited number of level solutions, the ability to skip levels and the ability to throw darts with “Max Power”. A basic level editor is also included to allow the design of custom levels but this is just the start. Bloons 2 also incorporates a coins system which allows players to spend coins for game extras such as unlocked levels, extra abilities and even an expanded level editor. The coins system also provides a free upgrade which shows dart trajectory, prior to making a throw. The coin system is unobtrusive and in no way hinders the free play experience. In fact it is one of the very few implementations of a coin system that we are actually ok with.

Whether you just play for free or take advantage of the extras provided by the integrated coin system, Bloons 2 is a great update to one of the all time classic Flash games.  We highly recommend it for all players! What are you waiting for? Get Popping!

It has been awhile since we posted a free flash game here on the Game Giants Blog. The lack of free flash games does not signal an end to our goal of providing a guide to finding the “Best Free Flash and Casual Games” on the net, nor have we stopped scouring the net playing free flash games. The reason we have not posted many flash games recently, as we discussed in a previous post, is simple: The quality of free flash games has taken a turn for the worse. We do not expect this trend to change anytime soon, but we will continue to evaluate the free flash games. When we find a gem of a game we will surely post it!

An example of one of these rare gems is the free flash puzzle game Trains. In Trains your goal is fairly simple, assemble a train of various engines and cars and direct it to a station. Although the concept is simple on each level you are faced with a number of variables and obstacles that create the puzzles.

Each level of Trains presents a unique set of engines, cars, switches and track layouts all with different attributes. In some levels engines can move in two directions, in other levels the engines can only proceed in one direction. In some levels you must repair broken track before your train may pass the damaged area. In this case you must use the track repair car to do this. In some levels you need to use switching stations to rearrange car order, defense cars to fight rebels, reversing platforms to turn engines around….  You get the idea. The variety is the greatest thing about this game and every level is truly unique. There seems to be a limitless number of new cars, switches, buildings and hazards in the puzzle.

Although the solutions are complex, the game is also very forgiving. You may find yourself failing several times trying to solve a given level, but eventually you will arrive at a solution. There is no real time limit on levels so you can use your full mental powers to derive solutions as well. The game provides buttons to speed up the game, slow it down or reset a level. All of these tools really enhance game play by reducing the chance of getting stuck on a level or at least minimizing the pain when you do get stuck.

We are glad to see a new, quality free flash game! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Burger Shop 2 has been one of the best selling casual games of this year. It is one of the most enjoyable, fastest pace time management games we have ever played! The goal of the game is simple, just fill your customers orders quickly and accurately! You do this by assembling the orders from food items that are sent to you on a conveyor belt. Some items only have to be placed on a plate, other items must be cooked filled or combined with other ingredients before they are presented to the customer.

The game starts out easy and gradually the difficulty and speed increase as you increase in skill. The in game tutorials are great! Not only do they train you but they also provide additional hints and shortcuts to make sure you perform at your best! If you play match 3 games you most likely have played and enjoyed the Fishdom games. In the games you try to match 3 like tiles in a row as in other Match 3 titles. The Fishdom games expand on the typical match 3 game by adding a campaign element to the game. The goal of the campaign game is to develop a fish tank which meets three goals: You must have fish, your fish should be happy and comfortable in your tank and your tank should be beautiful! You accomplish these goals by buying fish and accessories for your tank. By successful completing levels in the match 3 game you earn money to purchase these items.

The developer of Fishdom releases new versions of the game periodically, and usually around holidays with holiday themes. As you probably have guessed Frosty Splash is a Christmas themed game.
