A poster at Systemwars.com has put up a great post. He has posted a great list of upcoming and current PC games with screenshots and ratings. The OP was kicked from gamespot, so the content must have been good : )

If you read past the blog posts on the 12 year old fan boys blogs and the EA marketing propaganda you begin to find the truth about Spore. Check out the review on gameswatch. From the article:
I also noted confusion among green Sporeists regarding who the game is for. A lot of passers-by were fooled by Spore’s cartoon-monsteriness. They seemed sort of incredulous when the TransGaming rep explained why it was “for everyone.”
After Will Wright’s first public demo of Spore at GDC 2005, everyone was impressed, but some also wondered: would a game about designed evolution, the Gaia spore, and ruling the universe win the broad appeal that had made The Sims such a success? Reactions like the one just mentioned might suggest that the concern is justified.

i think it should be both single and multiplayer, keep this idea he hs going for single player and than have the player be able to create or play a copy of his creature in a mmo style world so they can have the great feeling you get when you blow the shit out of an opposing players massive galaktic civilization formed of thosands of little pink bunny-lions

This article mentions multiplayer – just wanted to note that there is NO multiplayer function and that is sort of misleading.
We have posted before that Spore’s biggest failing is the lack of true multiplayer gaming, which is demanded by today’s gamers. FYI EA Posting player videos to YouTube is not a substitute for multiplayer gaming! But as noted by gameswatch it seems the non-enthusiast gamer, the ones who EA really needs to purchase Spore, just don’t get Spore.
EA’s Jeff Karp is now saying they will support Spore for 10 years. Our opinion is they should be happy with the initial sales they get in the first 10 weeks, the word of mouth after that will kill the game. And I will safely bet that few will be playing it in 2018!

Josh Larson the dumbass who reportedly fired Jeff Gerstmann and lost all the talent at Gamespot was fired Today. Check out the details at Kotaku. Jeff has gone on to bigger and better things at Giant Bomb.
