Great Tree for Macintosh

Can a Game this Strange Looking Really be Fun??

The Gamegiants staff plays the games we list. We try to only list the games that will appeal to our customers. Many of the games we try may have strange titles and descriptions and even we do not know what to expect!

For instance we just listed the Macintosh game The Great Tree Game. Our initial impressions were the box art was weird,  the description sounded equally as strange:

When the Pollen Collectors are bewitched, the faeries’ survival rests upon the shoulders of their children. This quest will lead them directly into the dangers of the forest, where there are whispers of something sinister lurking in the shadows. The tree’s life runs short. Set forth now to save the faeries in this grown-up tale of good and evil!

We thought there is no way this game could be any good! But one of our female staff members wanted to try it. On the first level she seemed like she was going to bend to our heckling and jeers, but as she progressed through the levels even we became impressed with the gameplay!

As strange as it sounds you are a butterfly winged faerie that swoops around the screen gathering glowing, floating pollen grains. You have to deposit the grains at the top of the screen. You must avoid the other flying insects that basically want to either feed on you or just mess you up.

The backdrops are very pleasing, the music is relaxing and the game is fun and challenging. It even has an RPG like component that as you gain experience you can increase certain attributes such as strength, agility and health.

What does all this have to do with you? We just wanted you to know that we are a different video game retailer. Instead of just throwing up a bunch of games hoping you will purchase one no matter how lame it is, we actually try to play the game on at least one platform to make sure it is fun!

So try one of our games today, and as a special for our blog readers if you decide to purchase a macintosh game use Coupon Code: macgames to save 20% off the retail price. For PC games try either Coupon Code: pcgames or Coupon Code: AUGUSTAFFILIATES  (all caps) to save 20% off pc games.

Well back to testing some games……
