The Space Game is real time simulation space game from the Casual Collective. As we have mentioned here before we are great fans of the games produced by this studio.

In The Space Game you set out to mine planets of minerals. You start off with a single unit a solar station and grow a web of power carrying energy relays connecting your mining outposts.

But life would be boring if games were only building mining outposts and collecting minerals! As your outpost grows you will start to attract waves of pirates interested in destroying your mines and taking your hard earned ore.

Of course you are not going to willingly let the pirates grab your goodies….. So as you build your network you also build weapons ready to respond to the oncoming assaults. You are also equipped with an early warning system which allows you to detect the number and kind of incoming enemy ships. This system gives you plenty of time to adjust and upgrade your defenses to repel the attack.

The game is complete with a fairly tame campaign mode, extremely challenging mining modes and suicidal survival modes. The game also comes with two unlockable bonus modes. The game also has a tutorial but you are advised to follow the tutorial instructions exactly as you may end up in a dead end with no recourse except to reload the game.
