The Secret of Margrave Manor was the first hidden object game we ever posted on the Game Giants Arcade. For the most part we are not great fans of hidden object games, but they do have a large following in the casual gaming community. In fact we do not like playing most of the hidden object games out there! There just are too many mass produced, slapped together, frustrating, impossible to solve hidden object games floating around.
The Margrave games are better than those other games. The Margrave games move quickly, the controls are straight forward, and the hidden objects for the most part are findable and identifiable. The hint system works well, and provides an adequate number of hints. And if you truly get stuck, the game shows mercy and does provide extra hints to get you moving again! Another little bonus is that the cut scenes are easy to skip with just a mouse click. For us we play a game to play the game, not for the story line…. All in all we welcome the arrival of this sequel to the original Margrave Manor.

Zuma has always been one of our all time favorite casual games. The original Zuma combined action, sound and beautiful graphics into a game that would keep you glued to the PC for hours on end! Your goal in the original game was to prevent a rolling chain of multicolored balls from completing a spiraling path to an exit. In order to prevent the balls from reaching their goal, you had to eliminate members of the chain by launching matching colored balls into the chain. Chains of matching colored balls of 3 balls in length or more were eliminated. Simple enough?
The game was designed in such a way that each level takes you just to the brink of failure before rewarding you with victory. As you played the game you would find yourself screaming out in panic as the rolling balls would approach the end of their path as you furiously launched balls in order to slow the moving chains advance. That was the thrill of Zuma! The thrill and adrenaline rush was similar to that you feel when riding a looping roller coaster!
Zuma’s Revenge delivers the same thrills as the original with updated graphics, action and sound. The game has been written to take advantage of higher resolution screens and video cards, yet will still play on older hardware as casual games should! We even have been playing the demo of Zuma’s Revenge under wine in Linux at full speed!
Zuma’s Revenge also offers more power-ups than the original such as the Laser, Triple Shot and Lightning as well as Slow and Reverse! Zuma’s Revenge brings six challenging new bonus boss levels that pushes your game-play to the extreme. Can you reach the end?
